Greek Holiday Escapes
The Ionian islands are sun-kissed and idyllic, set in sapphire waters, dotted with picture-perfect bays and beaches, their hillsides crowned with olive and cypress groves. They are the ideal destination for luxury Greek holidays and authentic Mediterranean escapes, whether it’s in the quiet seclusion of Paxos or the tourist-friendly atmosphere of Corfu.
In season, the picturesque island ports of swan with sailboats, catamarans and superyachts, and white sails drifting slowly across the sea are a common Ionian sight. The ports are friendly hubs of activity, unpretentious and welcoming. Local restaurants serve traditional Greek and Italian cuisine, and there are shops, tavernas and bars scattered all around the islands.
Villa living on these islands is leisurely and simple, centred on spending time with loved ones, making the most of crystal clear waters and basking in the sunshine. Rugged hills and idyllic beaches are the perfect backdrops for sailing, snorkelling and swimming, taking long walks or snoring away gentle siestas in the shade. The islands are perfect for quality family time, memorable getaways with friends, sunset toasts and delectable meals.

The Ionian waters are best appreciated on skippered boat trips with regular stops for swimming, snorkelling and sightseeing. Experience a day out on the clear blue waters aboard Circe, a Danish yacht built in 1915. Rent powerboats for shorter jaunts.
Gaios is the charming capital of Paxos, set in the gentle curve of a natural harbor and packed with local culture and a rich variety of restaurants and shops. This is the main hub for boat charters and scuba diving day trips.
Lakka is popular for its Venetian architecture, popular music bars and excellent Italian eateries. Visit Ypapanti Church, the lighthouse and Olive Press Museum’s working olive press built in around 1865.
Loggos is tranquil and picturesque with traditional Eptanisian stone houses and coloured windows. It’s an ideal base for boating and fishing with excellent beaches within walking distance.
We love this family-friendly beach! It’s 5 km north of Gaios and offers safe swimming, plenty of loungers and umbrellas, pedal boat and kayak hire, plus toilet and shower facilities.
This pretty cove with its pebble beach is easy to reach from Gaios and Loggos. With few umbrellas on the beach and good snorkelling in the warm waters. We love sipping cocktails at Ben’s Bar, a great beach bar.
Explore the footpaths branching out from Agrapidia harbor, passing rustic cottages, orchards and the vineyards that produce the island’s flavorful red wine. Head north to Voutoumi and Vrika beaches for some of the best snorkelling in Greece.
